I need clarification about memberships, registration, and restricted access to pages after reviewing the Kleo documentation and setting up my site. My confusion is related to what handles user registration, subscription purchases, and page access: WordPress, PMPro, WooCommerce, or BuddyPress? Perhaps, it would be easier for me to give you some background on what I am trying to accomplish. I listed the plugin I “think” I should use after each feature in “(?)”.
About My Site
My site will require all users to register to obtain free or paid membership. So, I need to sell recurring membership options (PMPro?). I will also be selling courses with the Sensei plugin (WooCommerce?). Access to certain areas of my site will be limited to paid members (PMPro?). The public will still be able to see some information like the subscriber setting in bbPress.My Questions
I am correct in using PMPro for the free and paid memberships?
Can I use a $0 cost option through PMPro for free sign-ups?
Is there a way to accomplish free sign-ups with less clicks than PMPro?
Is WooCommerce the correct solution for product purchases vs. PMPro?
